They are currently recruiting for an Electrical Engineer to join their business.

Main Job Role

  • Ensure all mechanical and electrical breakdowns are dealt with promptly and efficiently whilst ensuring that all PPM schedules are maintained.
  • Decrease down time and increase productivity; by providing reactive and planned preventative maintenance and assisting with project work.
  • Working on a range of automated plant machinery including Drives, Motors, Robots and some PLC systems. In accordance to specifications and schedules following stringent safety and quality standards.
  • Installs and repairs to electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical and electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment, following electrical code, manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, and other specifications, using hand-tools, power tools, and electrical and electronic test equipment.
  • Diagnose malfunctioning apparatus, such as motors, and lighting fixtures, using test equipment, and replaces damaged or broken wires and cables.
  • Working from schematics and reading engineering drawings.
  • To carry out periodical safety checks on machine guards and interlocks, making safe and reporting any possible hazards.

Person Profile

  • Minimum of five years’ work experience
  • Previous experience of engineering
  • Must be an apprentice trained Electrical Engineer
  • 17th Edition Wiring Regulations (essential)
  • Confidence to resolve problems/issues with minimum supervision or direction
  • Confident and influential communicator
  • Team oriented
  • The salary for this role is extremely competitive working 6am - 2pm, 2pm - 10pm and 10pm - 6am (the night shift is one in every 3/4 weeks)
